The
annual presentation of funds raised thorough the year was held on 23rd June,
and the Charities receiving cheques for over
£6,500 were: The Primrose Unit
(Bedford Hospital - Macmillan Cancer Support) ~ Gordon Beeden, Vice-Chairman
Bedford Hospitals Charity Diabetes UK ~ Teresa Strange , Bedford Area
Co-organiser Sue Ryder - St. John's Hospice,
Moggerhanger ~ Mike
Coward, Director of Hospital Services
The Rotakids have again been busy ! They raised money for the Leprosy
Mission by having a Pancake Day
for the rest of the school, and later in the term a Toy Sale. These events raised over £170 which they presented to Colin Osborne, the Mayor of Sandy,
who has been involved with this charity for many years. This term they are busy helping to clean Sutton Church
by scraping moss off walls, clearing leaves, polishing pews and polishing the
brass and, as always, having fun helping others.
