Syrian Refugee Aid …

Sandy Rotary has responded to a request for help by its sister club Quedlinburg in the old East Germany to share the cost of producing a phrase book for the use of Syrian refugees arriving at a transit facility in the town.

Quedlinburg is scheduled to receive 2000 refugees in the next few months.

The phrase book in Arabic/German and English will be handed out to families to help them cope

with the transition of living in a new country and dealing with a new language.
The cost is 5 euros per copy and is being printed in a sheltered workshop.

Sandy is looking to help in the production of a booklet in English and Arabic to be ready when our area receives its quota of refugees.

Funds donated by Sandy, Quedlinburg, and District 1260, will result in more than

500 copies of the phrase book being printed and distributed in the transit camp.
